The dictionary is available in easy to browse JPG graphic files in its entirety. We are currently working on transcribing this dictionary into searchable HTML and RTF text files. The Cleasby-Vigfusson Project

The Northvegr Foundation is now organizing a project to proofread the HTML texts of for An Icelandic-English Dictionary, by Richard Cleasby and Gudbrand Vigfusson, which was published in 1874. It is the most comprehensive and authoritative dictionary on Old Icelandic in English. Their goal is to have the complete dictionary transcribed into HTML and RTF text files by the end of 2005. They are in need of transcribers who can work with Old Icelandic characters as well as Greek. If you want to help with the Cleasby-Vigfusson Project contact them at info@northvegr.org.
